How to open the trunk
Opening the trunk is easy and fast with the SayItSign. You do not need to take off the SayItSign base. You will need to take off the sign only and sit it on the ground.
Make sure when you open and close the trunk with the SayItSign base on, be in a safe position so that you do not get hit with the base, the base sticks out 7 inches.

CAR WASHES
You must take off the SayItSign completely before entering into any automatic carwash. This will prevent any damage to the SayItSign or your car.
SPEED LIMITS
When driving with the SayItSign, you MUST adhere to the speed limits. Going over the speed limits is strongly discouraged and you do so at your own risk.
SIGN MAINTENANCE
Driving with the SayItSign on your vehicle comes with responsibilities. Always make sure to keep an eye on the sign and make sure that it is operating properly. Make sure that screws are tight and it is ready to go before driving.
LICENSE PLATE HOLES
In order to use a SayItSign safely, you MUST make sure your license plate holes and screws are in good shape. They MUST be in good working order. If they are not, you can go to any Autoparts store and they can help you fix your plate hole attachments.
CLEANING YOUR SIGN
You can use a damp cloth to clean it regularly and keep your sign looking good.
HOA OR COMMUNITY RULES
If your community does not allow vehicle signage, not to worry. Simply back your car into the parking space with the sign facing away from the road, or slide your sign off in less than 10 seconds.
BACKUP CAMERA
Keep in mind, when using the SayItSign on your vehicle, the backup camera can not be used, if the backup sensor alarm sounds there is a button that you can use to turn it off in your car controls. You must turn your head and look back instead of relying on the comera while using the sign.
LIGHTING
Every SayItSign comes with license plate lighting. This conforms with all traffic laws. The light will come on when it is dark and the vehicle is moving. If the vehicle is stationary, the light will go off after 2 minutes. Once vehicle moves it will turn back on. If the power indicator turns from green to red, you need to replace the three AA batteries. After replacing, switch to OFF for 10 seconds, then back ON to reset the unit.
